The MOU establishes a framework for the parties to explore whether Energy Dome’s proprietary technology, based on its patented CO2 Battery system, will support NUAI’s proposed large-scale energy deployment to meet the energy demand of its 1GW+ AI-developed data center. The main priorities include increasing power speed, reducing dependence on network connection times, ensuring high levels of availability required for critical data center operations, and supporting low power supply.

About Energy Dome’s CO2 Battery Plus Technology
Energy Dome’s CO2 Battery Plus technology is designed to improve the efficiency and flexibility of gas-fired generation by combining energy storage and waste heat recovery. When used alongside Open Cycle Gas Turbines (OCGTs), the system has the potential to increase available energy production, improve operational flexibility and reduce heat, supporting the needs of large-scale AI and data center operations.
CO2 Battery technology stores electricity by compressing CO2, and in the standard CO2 Battery configuration, pressure and heat generated during charging are kept separate by design, with heat stored in a dedicated heat storage system for later use during the discharge phase. On the other hand, in the configuration of the CO2 Battery Plus, the system uses the direct waste heat from the OCGT (s) during discharge, instead of storing it beforehand. By replacing stored heat with waste heat supplied directly, the system greatly improves performance, enables uniform cycle operation, and saves a lot of money. CO2 Battery Plus can work in three different modes:
Charging method
During hours of low demand or periods of excessive renewable production, energy is used to compress carbon dioxide gas, which is then stored in its liquid form in conventional pressure vessels.
Dump Mode (SuperBoost)
During the hours of high demand, the carbon dioxide is vaporized and heated using the heat from the gas source(s), drives the electricity and therefore drives the CO2 Battery turbine, providing more energy compared to an additional turbine of the same type, therefore, more than double its output (> 100%).
Generation mode (Boost)
CO2 Battery compressor and turbine work at the same time, there is not much transfer between the gas and water storage of carbon dioxide. The gas rises during the closed period, increasing the net power output of the gas turbine by up to 25%.
